The Sinoni College in collaboration with Government of Tanzania and other stakeholder envisions a country with improved poverty status through access to affordable integrated Education Services including Vocation Education and Training for all Tanzanian.    The College intends to prepare tutors (the would be Primary and Secondary School teachers) to become teachers with knowledge, skills and values who will understand and be able to teach students of the nation of Tanzania, and somewhere else.

SICO is committed to providing national wide accessibility for all integrated sustainable and affordable quality Vocation Education and Training Provision (VETP). SICO is achieving by the use of indicators and standards VETA/NACTE /NECTA to maintain he quality of the college programmes.

Programs Offered

The College is organized in two departments, which are:-
DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION

1. Certificate in Primary Teachers’ Education Grade IIIA

2. Certificate and Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.(ECE, ECD)

2. Diploma in Secondary Education.

3. Private Candidates (P.C) sitting for form four National Examinations.

The subjects offered in this course are: Civics; History; Geography; Mathematics; Biology; Swahili; English Language; Literature in English; and Bible Knowledge. However, the students taking this course are supposed to select seven (7) subjects out of the above listed subjects.

DEPARTMENT OF VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION V.T.C

1.Certificate in Hotel Management-1 Year-Fee Tsh 509,000/=

2.Certificate in Tourism and Tour Guide-1 Year-Fee Tsh 609,000/= Diploma (1 Yeaer) Tsh 809,000/=Field charge exclusive.

3.Secretarial Course (Stage I,Stage II and Stage III)-6 Month for each stage-Fee Tsh 509,000/=

4.Certificate in Business Administration-1 Year-Fee Tsh 709,000/=

5.Certificate in HIV and AIDS Counseling-1 Year-Fee Tsh 709,000

6.Certificate in Computer Engineering and Maintenance-3 Months Fee Tsh 609,000/=

7.Computer ICT-1 Year Fee Tsh 924,000/=

All above Tuition fees inclusive with study materials,uniform,track suit for sports,T-shirt and desk money and it is for a day scholar cost

Admission and Applications

1. Registration for the first year students shall be done after the applicant bring original certificates plus copies of certificate transcripts,the original certificate will be returned after verification.
2. Students shall be discontinued from the names if it is found that he/she previously disqualified from any other college/Institute.
3. Students shall be allowed to use only names appearing on the certificates which qualified them for Admission. That is, no change of names by the students shall be allowed during the course of study.
4. No student shall be allowed to change courses later than the second week from the date on the commencement of the course.
5. Deadline for Registration for the first year students shall be two weeks from the date of the commencement of the course.
6. Semester start from January- July and July-December each year.

The academic year of SICO starts in July and ends in June in each year except for Vocational Training eg. Hotel Management,Tourism and other short courses are subject to start after every 3 months semester. Thus in each July the college is admitting new students to the educational courses. However, in each January the College admits new students for private candidates preparing for the form Form Four National Examinations.

Admission For Vocational and Technical Education

VTC-COURSE REQUIREMENTS: Any body with GCSE certified from the recognized institution or Experience of over one year work on the said field. Applied for level II or level III GRADE IIIA EDUCATION.

DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION. Any body with one passed principal and subsidiary in the form six result.
Admission Qualifications for Primary Teacher Education Certificate Grade IIIA Course 2012/2013

1. The applicant should have completed and passed form four Secondary Education in at least division four of 27 points, not more than three years ago from the year requesting for admission to the college, in one examination sitting or a total of at least four credits acquired in more than one national form four examination sittings.

2. Copies of the National form four Examination Certificate, the Form Four Secondary Education Leaving Certificate and Birth Certificate should be attached with the application letter. Then the successful applicants will be given joining instruction form.

3. Successful applicants should bring to the college the original Certificates of the National Form Four Examination Certificate, Secondary Education Leaving Certificate and Birth Certificate on reporting day for college registration process.

Admission Qualifications for Diploma in Secondary Education Course 2012/2013

1. The applicant should have completed and passed form six National Secondary Education Examination in at least one Principal pass and one Subsidiary pass among the Principal subjects of his/her subject combination, not more than three years ago from the year requesting for admission to the college.

2. Copies of National Form Four Examination Certificate, National Form Six Examination Certificate, Form Four Leaving Certificate, Form Six Leaving Certificate and Birth Certificate should be attached with the application letter. Successful applicants will be given a joining instruction form.

3. Successful applicants should bring to the college the Original Certificates of the National Form Four Examination Certificate, the National Form Six Examination Certificate, Form Four Secondary Education Leaving Certificate, Form Six Secondary Education Leaving Certificate and Birth Certificate on the day of reporting to the College for registration process.
